Black Ocean is the title of a virtual and fictitious metropolis that runs parallel to reality. It’s a place where people can live their ideal lives, tailored to their desires. This advanced, vibrant city relies on artificial intelligence to continually update itself. It was established by a young software engineer, and users enter it through a small microchip affixed to their temples, where they can create their ideal worlds and accomplish unattainable aspirations in the real world. This allure of the virtual world makes it difficult for users to leave. As the Black Ocean program progresses, anyone who participates in computer games, gambling, betting, or other entertainment venues quickly becomes indebted to the Black Ocean. According to the game’s rules, they are obligated to pay their debt before exiting the black ocean.
The plot kicks off when Arash and his twin sister Aida learn that their father, who died years ago, was the architect of Black Ocean. They get an invitation to join the game and Arash becomes a gamer. To get into the Black Ocean, Arash, along with his sister’s support, enlists the help of his influencer friend, forming a team of three.
Each episode follows Arash as he enters the virtual world and takes on a new mission, while Aida commands the operation from the control room. Through hacking and programming, she assists Arash in aiding those in need in this virtual space.
